ONLINE LESSONS

To do private online singing lessons, you'll need a webcam and to have a free video service such as SKYPE. Just to clarify this further, this is a private singing lesson tailored to you, not a recording, and not on a CD. This is the very next best thing to being here in person. It is done live and we see each other in the lesson. If it is your first lesson, I will be emailing you MP3s or I can "snail mail" a CD with vocal exercises for your specific needs at your specific stage of development as a singer. This has been a very successful way of distance learning and the students are very happy with their results.  Why would you want to use a webcam for a lesson?  Isn't that embarrassing?  Well, it might be at first but you get used to it and I need to see how you the singer, are shaping consonants and vowels, how you are breathing, and also monitor laryngeal stability, or the lack thereof.  I can hear when these things are off but the visual certainly helps with this.

Voice lessons can be done by telephone but I prefer to do those only on an "emergency" basis or if you live outside of Florida. Video instant messaging is much better, if possible, regardless of where you live. If you are near Orlando, Florida, lessons in person are currently available. With our Central Florida weather being rainy in part of the year, it may be more convenient to do a makeup lesson online when the weather just doesn't cooperate, so keep that in mind as an option.

Sometimes there is a waiting list so don't wait to the last minute to book a lesson. I love helping people but I hate not being there for someone who needs me.

Why would you want to do an online lesson? If you decided to hike through the Amazon Jungle, would you better off with just a map, or with a guide who has successfully been through it many times? Also, there are several "courses" around for singing BUT who is listening to you to guide you? How will you know if what you are doing is the best thing or the right thing, without someone there who knows what to listen for?
